About Me

I became a doula shortly after my son's birth. During my pregnancy I couldn't get
enough of the books and childbirth classes. It was then that I realized my love for the
whole pregnancy/labor/birth process. I completed the ICEA certification program in
2002 and attended my first birth at the beginning of 2003; twins Sadie and Casey.
Their birth could not have been more amazing and miraculous and that's all it took
to get me hooked...I am now what is called a "birth junkie."

In my non-birth side of life, I am the mother to a sweet (and genius!) 7 year old son. I
work in the ICU as a telemetry tech and am studying to be a nurse. My life goal
would be to become a midwife...I can imagine nothing better than to make a career
out of being part of one of life's greatest moments.
